Make Confident HR Technology Decisions in Your ICIMS Environment
Most vendor evaluations rely on sales demos, analyst reports, and internal gut checks. IRD gives you something better: independent assessments built on hands-on product evaluation, practitioner intelligence from 300+ ICIMS system administrators, and deep ICIMS-specific expertise that no generalist firm can replicate.
Most Vendor Evaluations Miss What Actually Matters
The HR technology market is crowded and the stakes are high. Vendors are well-practiced at presenting their best case. Analyst reports cover the market broadly but rarely tell you how a tool performs inside a live ICIMS environment. And internal evaluations, however thorough, are limited by what your team has time to learn and who they have access to talk to.
The result is that most purchasing decisions are made with incomplete information. Features get evaluated. The company behind the product often doesn’t.
IRD evaluates vendors across two planes. The product plane covers what most assessments cover: functionality, configurability, analytics, integration capability, and roadmap credibility. The partnership plane covers what most assessments ignore: ownership structure, financial backing, platform age, support model, leadership stability, and how seriously the vendor invests in its ICIMS ecosystem relationship. Both planes matter. IRD covers both.
Our Evaluation Process
Step 1: We Define the Scope First
We identify the vendors, establish inclusion criteria, and build the evaluation framework before we talk to anyone. The criteria are set independently, not shaped by vendor input.
Step 2: We Go Hands-On
Where possible, we conduct direct product demonstrations focused on ICIMS-specific workflows and integration behavior. Not the standard sales deck. We ask the questions your team would ask six months into implementation.
Step 3: We Go to the Community
We conduct structured interviews with SAI practitioners — 300+ ICIMS system administrators who use these tools in production every day. Their experience shapes our findings in ways no demo or documentation can replicate.
Step 4: We Give Vendors a Narrow Right of Reply
Before publication, vendors may review their own profile for factual accuracy. They can correct facts. They cannot negotiate assessments.
Step 5: We Publish with Confidence Levels
Where our findings are based on direct observation and practitioner input, we say so. Where we are working from secondary research alone, we say that too. You always know what our conclusions are grounded in.
Step 6: You Keep the Findings
Your evaluation report is yours. IRD does not repurpose, aggregate, or publish findings from client-commissioned work without explicit permission. What we learn in the course of your engagement stays in your engagement.
Why IRD is Different
ICIMS-Specific Expertise
IRD consultants have supported 50+ ICIMS customers across organizations ranging from 1,000 to 20,000+ employees. We know how ICIMS is actually configured in production, which means we evaluate integrations, data flows, and vendor behavior in context, not in the abstract.
Practitioner Intelligence
SAI is not a focus group or a survey panel. It is a working community of 300+ ICIMS system administrators who implement, configure, and optimize these tools every day. When we ask them about a vendor, we get candid operational answers — not polished responses shaped by a vendor relationship.
Vendor Independence
IRD does not accept referral fees, commissions, or any form of compensation from technology vendors. Our evaluations are funded entirely by the organizations that engage us. This means our recommendations reflect only what we believe is the best fit for your environment — nothing else.
Ready to Start Your Evaluation?
IRD works with ICIMS customers who need a clear, independent view of the vendor landscape before making a significant technology decision. If you’re in the middle of an evaluation (or about to start one) we should talk.

What Makes a Great Product Deep Dive

Practitioner-Led Discovery
Sessions are guided by real system administrators, not sales agendas. Vendors present their product in context, while practitioners ask the questions that matter for implementation, adoption, and daily use.

Expert Moderation by IRD
Integral Recruiting Design facilitates each session to translate features into operational workflows, surface adoption risks, and keep conversations grounded in practitioner reality — ensuring the discussion stays practical and relevant.

Real-World Use Cases
Great Product Deep Dives focus on how tools actually function inside complex enterprise environments, including integrations, permissions, workflows, and reporting — not just surface-level feature tours.

Honest, Open Dialogue
Admins are encouraged to ask direct questions and share candid feedback. This creates authentic conversations about what works, what doesn’t, and what needs improvement — without sales pressure.

Actionable Practitioner Insights
Vendors receive aggregated, anonymized feedback after each session, highlighting common questions, feature interest, and adoption signals — turning live conversations into usable product intelligence.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a sponsored webinar or sales presentation?
No. SAI Product Deep Dives are practitioner-led discovery sessions moderated by Integral Recruiting Design. Vendors present their product, but the focus is on real-world workflows, implementation considerations, and open Q&A — not sales pitches.
Do vendors receive attendee lists or contact information?
No. We do not share attendee lists or personal information. Vendors are introduced only to members who explicitly request follow-up. All connections are permission-based.
Who typically attends Product Deep Dives?
Experienced system administrators responsible for configuring and optimizing enterprise HR technology, along with IRD consultants who advise enterprise clients. Attendees come to learn, compare tools, and solve operational challenges they’re actively facing.
Can we follow up with attendees after the session?
Only through opt-in introductions facilitated by IRD. Vendors should not contact attendees directly unless an introduction has been made.
How many people usually attend?
Attendance varies by topic and timing. Rather than optimizing for volume, SAI focuses on practitioner quality and meaningful engagement. Vendors participate for insight and influence — not raw impressions.
Can we share the recording?
Yes. Vendors receive a downloadable recording and may edit or share excerpts for educational or awareness purposes, provided content is not framed as an endorsement by System Admin Insights or Integral Recruiting Design.

What kind of feedback will we receive?
After each session, vendors receive an aggregated, anonymized summary of practitioner feedback, including key themes, common questions, feature interest, and adoption considerations.
How is this different from conferences or sponsored communities?
SAI Product Deep Dives are vendor-neutral and practitioner-first. We don’t sell speaking slots, attendee lists, or sponsorships. Vendors gain access to real operational conversations and permission-based connections — not transactional exposure.

Meet the people behind the scenes
The IRD + SAI team is dedicated to helping HR tech professionals thrive
through hands-on guidance, system optimization expertise, and a genuinely supportive peer community.
Hello, my name is Alex Marcus
I started Integral Recruiting Design to help HR and Talent Acquisition teams get more value from the complex systems they rely on every day. I had spent years working as both a recruiter and a system administrator, and I saw how often great people were left to figure things out alone, without the right tools or community.
In 2024, I launched System Admin Insights (SAI), a professional community for iCIMS System Administrators who want more than generic documentation and vendor webinars. Our members come here for real answers, peer support, and weekly touchpoints that help them stay sharp and avoid burnout.
My goal with IRD and SAI is to show that system administration is not just a support function. It’s a strategic role that deserves investment, visibility, and a place to grow.
Whether you’re here to learn, solve, or lead, we’re here to help you do it with clarity, community, and confidence.
Get the insight, camaraderie, and clarity you've been missing
SAI isn’t just another learning platform—it’s a live, working community where system admins come together to solve real problems, grow their impact, and support each other in navigating the messy middle of talent tech.
Real talk from real Admins
This is the kind of in-depth solutioning you’ll find inside SAI. When Julie raised a challenge around handling work history gaps in iCIMS, fellow admins jumped in with real-world strategies—from optimizing when and where to collect data, to defining what truly constitutes an “applicant” for compliance. What followed was a rich, peer-driven exchange full of nuanced insight and immediately applicable ideas.

Meet the admins who show up
Every week, a vibrant group of system admins brings their insight, curiosity, and generosity to our Free Friday calls.
These spotlights celebrate the members who make SAI what it is—people who troubleshoot in real time, share hard-earned lessons, and stay open to learning together.

What we learned
In one recent post-show wrap-up, members shared fast, actionable takeaways—from new ways to use dynamic filtering, to managing offer templates with permission settings, to using an API to push parsed form data into iCIMS job records. A first-time attendee remarked how simply listening in revealed shared challenges and unexpected solutions. Equal parts insightful and fun—complete with a surprise theme song moment that reminded everyone why community matters.
